Construction of a wooded house in the Azores would be a planked reinforced structure. The wood to use to build the home would be oiled cryptomeria wood. Frames would be nailed and bolted together and treated for humidity and bugs. Heavy duty industrial plastic would be use thought to insulate the house thoroughly. There after rafters would be bolted not nailed for earth quake proof construction. Depending on the requirements, extra reinforcing will be done. .
